Maxine Steinman will present "Between the Tides"; a visually poetic evening of contemporary dance threaded with dreamlike quietness and tender sensuality. The program will include four premieres: one inspired by the texture and essence of a red rose; another that explores the mythical guise of womanhood; a new physically charged men’s piece, and a dance for three couples to the passionate music of Cuba. The evening will also feature Inside the Green Wall, playfully danced to the music of the Brazilian Indians with invited guest artist Raymundo Costa, and …still we sit, a duet danced to the music of Henryk Górecki. "Between the Tides"- performances are December 18-20 at 8pm at The Joyce Soho on 155 Mercer Street in Manhattan.
