Animals in Your Kingdom is a visual art show that features national artists as a part of Micro MuseumÕs ongoing program ÒBIG IdeasÓ.  It is open to the walk-in public every Saturday 12 – 7 PM from May 24 - July 19.  There is an opening party on June 7 from

8 – 11 PM with gifts, drinks, snacks and live music by Davis Goldman at 9 PM.  Only 2 blocks from the F & G trains to Bergen streets, the 22 year old art center - Micro Museum is located at 123 Smith Street in between Dean Street and Pacific Street in downtown Brooklyn.  Extra bonus event: dance photographs by Julie Lumberger.

 

Curated by Founding Director, Kathleen Laziza – Animals in Your Kingdom represents a versatile point of view where animals are fanciful, evocative, threatened, and threatening.  The whimsicalness of the art is diversely expressed in paint, collage, photography, illustration and video.  The selected artists are Julie A. McConnell, Barbara Rachko, David Platt, Reet Das, JD Siazon, Russ Revock, SJ Hart, Ingrid Vance Aubry, Abha Dawesar, Debra Friedkin, Michael Quirk, Monika Malewska, and Diana Ogaard, Azita Ganji. Including Interactive Art by William and Kathleen Laziza.
