Micro Museum is curating
national visual artists in the 2nd year of a 3-year program entitled
BIG IDEAS. This highly conceptual theme was selected by Founding Artist
Kathleen Laziza and captures the imagination of 4 distinct artists. Charles Printz KopelsonÕs work represents
lyrical expression, Debra FriedkinÕs collage is fanciful, Melissa MorenoÕs
presents an energetic ink collage and Wanda EwingÕs visual series has refined
humor (pictured above).
William and Kathleen Laziza
host the opening event on June 27 from 8 – 11 PM along with exhibiting
their own unique brand of interactive art, media installations, and visual
elements. Their touch sensitive
sculpture ÒLUMIANOÓ (lights up as it is played) will feature David Goldman as
he Òtickled the ivoriesÓ with American songbook music. Additional works
available are Phone-i-ture, 3d TV, Blabbermouth, Pillowtalk, Weighing In,
TouchLight Table, NY Chairs, The BIG Chair, Prepared Victrola. Videograph,
Kissing Installation. Light Lines, Invaild TV plus video (SPONTANEOUS
COMBUSTION collection).
Visual
Art exhibits are open every Saturday from 12 – 7 PM ($2). Vertical Penmanship is available for
viewing June 27 – August 15 (will be closed July 4). Weekdays Micro
