Double your pleasure! Double your fun! Micro Museum presents ÒTwins: Sets of 2Ó.   This art exhibition features National artists who explore expressions of Double Trouble, Double Dating, Double Dipping, Mixed Doubles, etc. The exhibition opens with a party September 27 at 8 PM with live music, drinks, snacks and gifts (compliments of Materials for the Arts). 

 

Micro Museum welcomes Uli Minoggio, Mel Smothers, Sanders Watson, Claire Mack, Johannes Kroemer, Elise Roedenbeck, David Platt, Claire Yeoman, and Helen Levin as they exhibit their works in painting, photography, collage, and video, as well as the permanent interactive art by founding directors of Micro Museum William and Kathleen Laziza. The LUMIANO (an interactive piano) will be played by David Goldman at 9 PM on September 27.  All visual and video works on display every Saturday from 12 – 7 PM ($2 each)

 

Micro Museum is also presenting a premiere international videoart program in cooperation with curator, Luca Curci.  The video art and architecture event called, ÒLiquid Cities & IdentitiesÓ will also be shown on Saturday September 27 beginning at 8 PM.

 

Micro Museum is a living art center that has supported hundreds of art activities of small and large proportions for the visiting public. Yearly over 600 artistic residents make live performances for stages around the world or around the corner.  For the last 22 years MM¨ features several international video art screenings in the fall, summer art classes in public parks, national curated art exhibits throughout the year, live music and theater/dance showings every quarter. 

 

A founding member of the Brooklyn Cultural Circuit and stakeholder in the Brooklyn Tourism Council, Micro Museum has long advocated for cultural tourism in the outer boroughs.  Currently it is distributing BCCÕs new Hidden Treasures of Brooklyn maps, now available in strategic locations such as the Visitors Center at Brooklyn Borough Hall.  Call for details (718) 797-3116.
