Micro Museum presents Signature Power: Legends and Other Myths at their downtown location 123 Smith Street from January 15 – April 29. The showcase exhibition for BIG IDEAS 2008 – 2010 featured 120 artists from 18 states across America. This particular show will highlight 20 artists who were the popular choices favored by our audiences. BIG IDEAS included 11 shows with the themes ÒOpposites AttractÓ, ÒThe Teeny Tiny ShowÓ, ÒAnimals in Your KingdomÓ, ÒTwins: Sets of TwoÓ, ÒMetaphoric: Sunrise/SunsetÓ, ÒFor Your Lines OnlyÓ, ÒDNA rÕ USÓ, ÒVertical PenmanshipÓ, ÒHidden Pictures: Voyeurism in AmericaÓ, and ÒMagic NumbersÓ curated by Kathleen Laziza.

 

William and Kathleen Laziza host the event along with exhibiting their own unique brand of interactive art, media installations, and visual elements.  Featured works are: "Lumiano" piano that lights up as it is played, "Phone-i-ture" telephone love seat, "3d TV" vision of future TV, "Blabbermouth" pithy sittee, "Pillowtalk" touch sensitive pillows, "Weighing In" random relationships, "TouchLight Table" reflective light show, "NY Chairs" who new?, "The BIG Chair" makes you small, "Prepared Victrola" Wurlitzer 78s, "Videograph" stunning patterned video, "Kissing Installation" exercize with encouragement, "Light Lines" just yell, "Invalid TV" magnetic resonance plus video "SPONTANEOUS COMBUSTION collection" hours of videodance and visual music on large screen TV.
