Ghosts of the Canal is an ensemble that was created to explore experimental and harmonic interplay. The group includes Michael MacIvor (bass), Tommy Cirillo (percussion), Kenneth Schalk (keyboard), Reginald Juste (percussion) and John LaMacchia (guitar).
William Laziza's Videograph is an interactive video instrument that creates complex designs using ordinary tools like chopsticks, pogs, transparencies, etc.... It was selected by the NY Times to represent "Art of the Future" in their Millennium Edition with an article by Ann Powers entitled "The Artist Formerly Known as Spectator" published January 1, 2000. The Chromophone is a audio-visual installation and performance instrument that demonstrate harmonic resonance. These two instruments interweave and collide with each other, as well as with the music produced by the Ghosts of the Canal.
