Founding Artists

William and Kathleen Laziza are the founding artists of Promote Art Works, Inc. They are known as "industrial strength artists" who manage to connect art to their neighborhood in Boerum Hill Brooklyn as well as the global village. Check out http://www.micromuseum.com.

The Lazizas cross pollinate the grassroots art movement in NYC by showing video work on public access television in the Tri-State area. They've contribute to the techno-vision of the NYC art community by providing services to affiliate artists, schools, nightclubs, and theaters as well as initiating exhibitions in visual, performing, or media arts for families to enjoy in settings like parks, gardens, rivers and for private entertainment events.

They come from different creative backgrounds. She is choreographer with a strong visual art focus who works as a professional teaching artist in public schools and parks. He works with technology as an interdisciplinary tool to create videokinesis or pure abstract video art. His interest in technology also embraces solar powered designs. Their "AC/DC Window" on the second floor at 123 Smith Street brings delight to those who watch the kinetic sculptures or as one neighbor expressed it, the window is a "visual refreshment for the entire area".

They invite you to check out the PAWI website and ask that you give PAWI feedback.
