Our Country as no other is culturally connected and identified to countries and ehnic groups around the globe,. America is a 'hub' of international communication and diverse folkloric dance. All the peoples of the world can be found here, particularly in New York, the entry port of new peoples and ideas. This year's National Dance 'Week's Activities, April 29 - May 6, 2001 will seek to promote and honor all dance traditions as a living source of communications, education and cooperation for a saner, safer world.
