ESPERANZA COLLADO

FEEDBACK is a proposal by ESPERANZA COLLADO, created in 2006 that examines the formal possibilities of the videographic medium in a controlled feedback circuit loop. The artist has transmuted the basic elements of the moving-image -light, duration and change- into a never-ending transforming shape with the capability of liberating the refinement and enrichment of perception. Feedback conforms a subtle reference to a Brakhagesque hypnagogic world and absorbs our vision into a universal mandala of continuous birth.

Esperanza Collado is a multi-disciplinary artist who lives and works in Ireland and Spain. Her work is closely linked to Paracinema and Conceptual Art, and intends to show artworks that allow a comprehension of a specific and a self-referential approach of the medium. Her work focuses on the development and production of perception consciousness, synaesthetic experiences, and mnemonic processes, allowing the spectator the realization of different time qualities during the reception of an artwork.
