Emma Trincal

Emma Trincal is a French-American painter who has lived in the United States since 1989. Born in Paris in 1963 she began painting in 1987 while teaching economics at the Paris University. She moved to New York at age 26 to pursue a career in journalism and finance while continuing to paint.

In 1991 she won the Dorothy Malloy award from the Trenton City Museum in New Jersey. She was selected by Multi-Focus International, Clinton County Arts Council, SUNY Art Museum, Plattsburgh, NY in 1995. Her painting "Paris Tropical" was featured in an article about Abstract Expressionism in the Art Experience, a South-Florida art magazine. In 2006, Bernard Chaet, a well-known art professor from Yale selected her painting "When You Smile," for a national exhibition in Connecticut.

She lives in Brooklyn, NY.
