Micro Museums founding artists, William and Kathleen Laziza are celebrating their 25th anniversary year with SILVER. This years progressive exhibitions of wearable art, media installations and interactive "talking" furniture will include many 4 special events during the month of October with "Haunted Maze", other eccentricities include a performance by the Lazizas "Pursuit of Happenstance" and the museums annual fundraiser on October 20.
BLABBERMOUTH is their latest exhibition and can be seen along with Phone - i - ture, 3d TV, Light Lines, The Crystal Box, Weighing In, Invalid TV, The Prepared Victrola, Spring Fever Collection, Videograph and the "French" Kissing Installation. The public is invited to see the exhibits on Saturdays from 12 6 PM. ($2 per person)
The Lazizas have long supported hundreds of contemporary artists as they created their works through Micro Museums rental programs and its Spontaneous Combustion series that runs monthly on Brooklyn Community Access TV (BCAT). In addition Micro Museum is community responsive organization and offers free arts, science and movement classes every summer in collaboration with the Brooklyn Heights Playground Committee. Adding to the eclectic mix of programming, Micro Museum will host the International Not Still Art Festival on September 24 with artist interviews from 1 4 PM with a video screening beginning at 7:30 PM ($10).
