Presented by Richard Porton, the author of Film and the Anarchist Imagination and an editor of Cineaste magazine. July 15th--Independent documentaries on the post-9/11 immigrant experience. Presented by Shaista Husain, a grassroots activist, film critic, and filmmaker.
July 22nd--The Battle of Chile (1976-8) Director: Patricio Guzman. One of the films from the trilogy will be shown. Presented by John Dinges, Former managing editor of NPR News and the author of The Condor Years : How Pinochet and his Allies Brought Terrorism to Three Continents.
