Micro Museum, the eccentric art center on Smith Street will host a full day of visual exhibits, screenings and guided tours of its collection of interactive sculptures and media installations. Plus the museum is welcoming "election fever" to Brooklyn, with an exhibit of political cartoons by the INX Group. The INX Group is a collective of prestigious illustrators who have published works for the last 20 + years in many premiere US publications. Exhibit viewing is from 10 AM - 10 PM. Admission is free. There is a "Meet the Artists" Reception on July 17 from 5 - 8 PM, admission by donation. The INX Exhibit is open every Saturday from 12 - 6 PM, including for a free discussion with the illustrators - during the National Republican Convention in NYC.

The Brooklyn International Film Festival (BIFF), formerly known as Williamsburg Brooklyn Film Festival (WBFF), is an International, competitive festival for and by independent filmmakers.  In 2004 there were over 1,500 submissions from 75 countries around the world. BIFF's "Best of Fest" will be screened on the second floor of the museum. The 90-minute program will air twice at 6 & 8 PM. Admission is $5.

Musician's General Store is Micro Museum's newest neighborhood partner. "Let there be music to dance by!" says owner Mingo Tull, "it is all in the works now, come out on July 11 and see for yourself!" Kathleen Laziza Executive Director of Micro Museum adds that since we are a community organization people should expect a worldly view from our exhibitors and collaborators. There are additional French street games and food by Smith Street's famous restaurants Saul's, Bar Tabec, Robin des Bois, Boerum Hill Food Co. etc..... Smith Street's Bastille Day Celebration is made possible by the South Brooklyn Local Development Corp. Bette Stoltz from SBLDC joins in by saying " Rain or shine there will be alot to see, do and of course eat!"
