Chris Mahnken was born in 1981 in Brooklyn and has spent his subsequent life throughout its many varied neighborhoods. From his adolescence in Boruem hill to his teen years in Kensington to his adult life in the vast reaches of Gravesend and presently the enclave of Fort Greene the borough has raised him with an eye from the intricacies of urban decay as well as feminine beauty. In this partially displayed series referred to as "the model caught looking" the model is enveloped withing the landscape of the last reaches of undeveloped Williamsburg. The work is more interested in the contrast between the subject and the landscape than either one individually.
CAM photography is dedicated to capturing images of living and non-living beauty as well as finding the underlying qualities and intimacies in both. Based out of Astoria NY the company focuses on staged as well as candid head shots and photo journalistic enterprises

Freelance Photographer
Samantha Averill is a freelance photographer specializing in the music scene in New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles. Her wide array of experience includes press conferences, political campaigns, concerts, model head shots and editorial work. She has shot such subjects as former president Bill Clinton, Ozzy Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne and current member of Metallica, Robert Trujillo.
Samantha holds a BA in Liberal Arts from the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, New York, then studied at the International Center of Photography in New York, New York. Samantha moved to New Orleans where she pursued a lucrative and successful photography career, shooting live music in venues ranging from jazz to rock and roll. After several years she then returned to her roots in New York City where she continues to shoot the city’s lively and varied music scene. She’s currently the official photographer for F’N NYC ltd., a New York based clothing line. She’s also working on a magazine issued by Skewville productions for whom she is also the official photographer. She’s been published in various magazines including Twice, Guitar Player, and Guitar World and her work is displayed on a variety of musician websites.
Samantha specializes in black and white stills but she is also proficient in portraits and fashion.
She aspires to achieve the level of creativity as those photographers that have inspired her career such as Herman Leanord, David LaChapelle and Ellen VonUnworth.
